Regicide Redemption

The Deafrond Region has been ruled by the beloved Queen Kira’s dynasty for decades. Last winter, the Region fell under hard times and the Queen married a wealthy military leader who is now known as King Edgar. The Queen was found dead in the city of Monclair during the Moon Festival and after a short search, the King’s Guard found a group of goblins to be guilty. The Queen’s death was believed to be a sacrifice to Tenebris, the Dark God. Philik the Goblin was sentenced to a public hanging in the town square. Philik was a local farm hand and besides a couple of disorderly charges, he was a generally quiet goblin. The King has been ruling with an iron fist and the people are afraid of him.
